About

We believe in making beautiful, functional pieces to last forever. Every day, we create the world we want our children to live in. Everything counts. This is one way we contribute to that world.

Fall / Winter 2012

The first season of Misha and Puff is a well-edited collection of all the best stuff, versatile wardrobe staples that are destined to become favorites for generations to come. a shawl collar cardigan that works great as a jacket, leggings that can stand alone or go under a snowsuit or dress - pieces meant to be purchased a little big and worn until they are just a tad too small.

You will notice exquisite attention to detail: the eyelet that shapes a raglan sleeve, a lapped shoulder referencing the classic baby's onesie - all of this and more have been well considered to create beautiful pieces.

Hand Knit

Our knitters are hand picked from around New England. Everything is designed and produced here - where we live, where our families live. Hand knit means hard-wearing and long-lasting heirloom pieces - they will be cherished.

Our Yarns

Our yarn is hand dyed in small batches in the United States, making each garment truly unique. With colors inspired by a New England winter, the hand dying process creates a beautiful depth of color that you will not find anywhere else.

Natural fibers are important for babies. Wool is naturally antibacterial and wicks moisture away from the body, so baby stays dry and cozy. Wool is also springy and holds its shape better than other fibers. Our wool is washable – it will not felt up – and is incredibly soft, never itchy.

A few special pieces in the collection are made of the softest baby alpaca -- chunky yet light as a feather, it makes an ideal layering piece. Alpaca is hand washable.

Misha and Puff

Misha and Puff was founded in 2011 after my baby son spent his first New England winter keeping warm and cozy while swaddled head-to-toe in knits I had made. Drawing on over ten years experience as a stylist, as well as personal understanding of what works well for little ones, I have created a collection that is special yet unfussy, a way to share my love of the thoughtfully designed and handcrafted.
