No time, or room, to phone it in.
In the kitchen,
a space I designed for myself and
have since tweaked to accommodate her needs,
a tiny person works at their becoming.
Every spill wiped up,
every carrot peeled,
showing herself care by trying again and again.
My daughter, playing and growing like a flame before my eyes.
Perla is 2 years old and loves lamb chops and ice cream. She likes stripes and polk dots. She was born en caul and what a power move it was. Established her magical qualities before breathing air or opening her eyes let alone speaking.
